Editorial independence

Editorial conclusions are not sold. Advertisers, affiliate partners, vendors, and public-relations representatives do not receive a right to approve reviews or dictate conclusions. Commercial relationships are disclosed and do not guarantee favourable coverage.

Evidence and sourcing

We prefer primary sources: official documentation, product policies, technical specifications, legislation, court documents, regulator guidance, standards, source code, and direct testing. Reliable secondary reporting may provide context. Material claims should be attributable or independently verifiable.

Reviews

Reviews consider privacy design, security features, defaults, transparency, usability, platform support, pricing, limitations, and the product's suitability for different readers. A high rating is not a guarantee and does not mean a product is appropriate for every threat model.

AI-assisted work

Conflicts of interest
